How we work with the land
Permaculture involves an intuitive and reciprocal approach to our relationship with the land. When it comes to things like planting trees and growing food, we take our time. By paying attention to what happens each season and learning something new from what worked and what didn't, we anticipate that there will be thousands of different crops to come from here in the coming decades, from what would be considered a very small holding.
We believe that these practices are viable and scalable in order to create a healthier, more abundant society, whether you live in a town and only have a window box to grow in, or you’re responsible for managing large swathes of countryside.
Good custodians
Above all else, we try to be good custodians of the land and by consciously raising our children here and involving them in every step from planting to butchering we have set up a generational safety net to protect it.
All aspects of the Dar Durra project will carry this same ethos and shared principles, ensuring a regenerative, inclusive, long-term approach to land and our place within it.
